Description:
Ceftiofur is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that exerts its effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. like other β-lactam antimicrobial agents, the cephalosporins inhibit cell wall synthesis by interfering with the enzymes essential for peptidoglycan synthesis. this effect results in lysis of the bacterial cell and accounts for the bactericidal nature of these agents.
Indication:
It is indicated for the treatment of subclinical mastitis in dairy cattle at the time of dry off associated with staphylococcus aureus, streptococcus dysgalactiae, and streptococcus uberis.
Dosage And Administration:
Calculated as this product. infusion of milk ducts: dry dairy cows, one for each milk chamber. wash the nipple thoroughly with a warm, suitable disinfectant solution before administration. after the nipple is completely dry, squeeze out the remaining milk in the breast. then, wipe the infected nipple and its edges with an alcohol swab. the same nipple cannot be used with the same alcohol swab during the wiping process. finally, the syringe cannula is inserted into the nipple tube in the selected injection mode (full insertion or partial insertion), the syringe is pushed and the breast is massaged to inject the drug into the vesicle.

May cause animal’s hypersensitivity reactions.
Contraindications:
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to ceftiofur and other b-lactam antibiotics or to any of the excipients.
Do not use in cases of known resistance to ceftiofur or other b-lactam antibiotics.
Withdrawal Time:
Dosing 30 days before calving, 0 days of abandoning milk.
