Description:
AMPICILLIN a broad spectrum antibiotic effective against gram +ve and -ve bacteria. It is quickly absorbed and reaches high plasma concentration within two hours and excreted in urine and bile unchanged, so it is used in intestinal and urinary tract infections.
Indications:
AMPICILLIN 20% is indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by E.coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, Brucella, Proteus , Klebsiella and Corynebacteria which affect both large animals and poultry . It is also used in the treatment of diarrhea and pulmonary infections in calves and lambs.
Dosage:
Poultry:
Treatment :
100 gm / 200 liters of drinking water for 3 – 5 days.
Prevention :
Half the treatment dose.
Large Animals :
Treatment 10-15 gm / BW twice daily.
Withdrawal period
Don’t use animal products during & after last treatment for 4 days.
