description:
gentamicin belongs to the group of amioglycosiders and acts bactericidal against mainly gram-negative bateria like e. coli, salmonella spp., klebsiella spp., proteus spp. and pseudomonas spp.

indications:
for treatment of infectious diseases, caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria susceptible to gentamicin, such as: respiratory tract infections, gastro-intestinal infections (colibacillosis, salmonellosis), uro-genital tract infections, skin- and wound infections, septicaemia, arthritis, omphalitis, otitis and tonsillitis in dogs.

contraindications:
hypersensitivity to gentamycin.
administration to animals with a serious impaired liver or renal function.
concurrent administration with nephrotoxic substances.

dosage and administration:
for intramuscular administration:
general: twice daily 1ml per 20-40kg body weight for 3 days.

side effects:
hypersensitivity reactions.
high and prolonged application may result in neurotoxicity, ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity.

withdrawal time:
for kidneys: 45 days.
for meat: 7 days.
for milk: 3 days.

warning:
keep out of the reach of children.
