Fenbendazole Tablet 250mg
Composition:
Fenbendazole ……………250 mg
Excipients q.s. …………1 bolus.
Indications:
Fenbendazole is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites.including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, the taenia species of tapeworms, pinworms, aelurostrongylus, paragonimiasis, strongyles and strongyloides and can be administered to sheep and goats.
Dosage And Administration:
Generally fenben 250 bolus is given to equine species with feed after crushing.
the normal recommended dosage of fenbendazole is 10mg/kg body weight.
Sheep And Goat :
Give one bolus for up to 25 kg body weight
Give two boluses for up to 50 kg body weight
Precautions /Contraindications:
fenben 250 does not have embryotoxic properties,however its administration is not recommended during the first month of pregnancy.
Side Effects/Warnings :
At usual dosage ,fenbendazole is safe and generally doesn,t cause any side effects.hypersensitivity reactions secondary to antigen release by dying parasites may occur,particularly at high dosages.
Overdosage/Toxicity:
Fenbendazole is apparently well tolerated even 10times the recommended dosage. it is unlikely that an acute overdosage would lead to acute clinical symptoms.
Withdrawal Period:
Meat : 7 days
Milk : 1 days.

Store in a cool, dry and dark place below 30°c.
